🚲 Cycle to Work Scheme

We accept both Green Commute Initiative and Cyclescheme, making it easy to purchase your next eBike through your employer.

What is the Cycle to Work scheme?

The Cycle to Work scheme is a government-approved salary sacrifice programme that allows you to spread the cost of a bike and accessories through your employer. Payments are taken from your gross salary, meaning you save on Income Tax and National Insurance — saving up to 42% depending on your tax bracket.

There is generally no fixed upper price limit — approval depends on your employer’s agreement and affordability checks.

💰 How much can you save?

Because payments are taken before tax, the effective cost of your bike can be significantly lower than paying outright.

For example:

  • £3,000 eBike

  • Up to 42% effective saving

  • Net cost could be closer to ~£1,740

Typically the repayment period is between 12 and 24 months, depending on your employer and which scheme you use. In the above example, that £3000 eBike would effectively be costing you £145/ £72.50 a month over a 12/24 month period.

(Exact savings depend on your personal tax rate.)

🛠 Warranty Information

  • Bikes purchased via Green Commute Initiative include our standard Ebike Exchange warranty.
